1.

Prepare foam parts and apply graphics or color:
You may want to blow off the parts or wipe them gently with a soft cloth to remove any foam dust
.  If you wish to apply your own color scheme, watch the weight very carefully.  We use an airbrush to apply minimal acrylic paint without measurable weight gain.  Vinyl stickers or tape will add undesirable weight.

Make sure that your rudder, elevator, and ailerons all move very freely.  If any are stiff, free them up by bending back and forth a few times.  If that doesn't work, you may need to carefully "thin" the hinge line by lightly sanding the vee a bit deeper.  Easiest way is to bend the control surface so the vee is straight, then sand lightly with a block or sanding bar.

Apply small 1/4" x 1/2" strips of cellophane tape to the flat side of your hinges as shown.  Use 3 strips on each aileron and the rudder, and use 4 strips on the elevator.

2.

Decide on motor and location for mounting your radio gear:
3. Cut openings in fuselage for your receiver and motor (Brushless Option):
If installing a brushless outrunner motor, cut the foam to allow a small clearance above and below the motor, with the prop-shaft in line with your wing as shown.

4. Assemble CF backbone to wing and stab:
Effective 5-1-10, the upper fuselage, wing, and stab have been redesigned with tabs & slots to facilitate self-alignment during assembly.  Step 4A in the PDF Manual is no longer necessary.  You can now begin with Step 4B, modified as follows:

Place your stab/elevator and wing upside down on a flat work surface.  Now temporarily insert the upper fuselage piece into them to secure your alignment.  Place a straight-edge along the fuselage to ensure it is straight, then tape the wing and stab/elevator to your flat work surface.  Remove the fuselage and set it aside for later.  Proceed with Step 4C in the manual.

5. Glue bottom fuselage to CF backbone:
6. Assemble bellcrank and bellcrank guides to fuselage:
7. Make bellcrank control-rod and mount aileron servo:
8. Connect ailerons to bellcrank:
9. Attach Wing Struts to Wing and Fuselage:
10. Assemble Landing Gear to Fuselage (optional):
11. Mount receiver brick:
12. Attach top fuselage:
13. Mount motor (Brushless):
A brushless outrunner mounts differently than a brushed PZ motor.  Locate the .050" x 2-1/2" CF mounting rods that came with your brushless installation kit.  After sanding to fit the CF backbone, glue the rods to the backbone while holding your motor in place to locate the rods.  When the glue dries, you can now glue the other end of the rods to your motor.  VOILA!  How Slick!

14. Connect servos to rudder and elevator:
15. Mount battery and balance model:
16. Set control throws:
